Stuart was called to the Bar of Ireland in 2012 and has been advising on all aspects of asset management and investment funds since that time. Stuart has worked for a number of Ireland’s leading law firms such as William Fry, Maples Group and most recently, Arthur Cox. Stuart also spent a period of time in London where he was seconded to Blackrock Investment Management.
Stuart has extensive experience advising on the legal and regulatory issues surrounding the establishment and regulation of investment funds in Ireland, including UCITS and AIFMD funds, ICAVs, corporate formations, commercial contracts and providing targeted advice relating to upcoming and ongoing regulatory developments such as ESG/SFDR etc.
Working predominantly with U.S. and U.K. investment managers and other in-house legal teams, Stuart is adaptable, versatile and is happy to be collaborative. He takes a pragmatic approach to his work and is commercially-minded.
